Public Meetings

Since the start of the Covid pandemic it has unfortunately been necessary to suspend face-to-face meetings and the programme of talks planned for 2020-21 was cancelled.  However one talk and the AGM were successfully held online this year using Zoom.

A further online talk for members is now planned for Tuesday 5th October, starting at 2.30 pmGill Binnie will talk on the subject of Photography in Moseley.  This will be a well-informed talk based on Gill’s research, looking at the history of the development of photography and making reference to historical photographs of Moseley.  If you would like to attend all you need to do is to email and we will send you the Zoom link; then on the day itself you merely need to click on the Zoom link to join the meeting.

We hope to be able to resume face-to-face meetings as soon as possible when it is safe to do so. In normal times, The Moseley Society runs a full programme of evening (and some afternoon) talks throughout the year between October and May on a variety of subjects.  Click here to view the  Moseley Society Programme Card for 2019-20.

Refreshments are served at all meetings. Donations toward costs will be welcomed.

Meetings take place at 7.30 in the evenings, unless otherwise stated, at Moseley Exchange, the Community Development Trust’s building behind the Post Office at 153 Alcester Road.  The entrance is through the arch and there is a lift.

Members are encouraged to bring guests to Moseley Society meetings, unless the event is described as for Members only.  We are always pleased to welcome new Members. You can join at meetings, at Moseley Travel, 172 Alcester Road, or via the website.
