Walks around Moseley Village are organised each year, usually as part of the Moseley Festival, and subsequently written up as self-guided walks, which are available to view and download here. Times given are approximate depending on how fast you walk. The walks (apart from the 2103 one) were originally led by Ray and Rachel Tier as part of the Moseley Festival in the year shown and subsequently written up by them with the addition of historical pictures and modern photographs.

A walk along Alcester Road, St Mary’s Row and Woodbridge Road looking at the locations of former businesses and ‘ghost signs’. Time taken – about 1 hour.
The write-up is illustrated with pictures of former businesses and ‘ghost signs’ (evidence of former businesses in the form of faded painted wall advertisements and other signs and emblems).
The article was updated in January 2017 to include details of the newly revealed ghost sign for Shufflebotham’s in Woodbridge Road and the ghost signs for the Birmingham Municipal Bank above Select & Save in Alcester Road. Click on the link below.

Moseley Park & Pool Walk – July 2015
A walk around Moseley Park & Pool. The walk starts from the Alcester Road gate. Please note that admission to the Park is generally for keyholders only although keys are available on a daily basis at no charge (subject to a £10 deposit) from Moseley Travel at 172 Alcester Road. Open access is provided at certain times, such as farmers’ market days and during the annual festivals. Time taken – about 45 minutes.
